Pavement boards can either be A-boards, with a chalk board face or magnetic board. Or they can be the snap frame A-frames, that allow for different posters to be added to give a truly changeable advertising display.
Other pavement boards include those that would have permanent graphics, which are often used to show the location of a business, or special offers from a retail shop or restaurant.
The final type of pavement boards are the signs with a weighted base. Although these are more commonly known as a forecourt sign, this is more of an industry term than a general public term. The weighted base allows these signs to stay upright in windy conditions, with the main advertising portion of the sign free to sway backwards and forwards.
