Do you know how best to care for vehicle signage to keep it looking pristine?
❌ DON'T wash the vehicle for the first week to ensure maximum adherence.
✔️ DO wash your vehicle regularly (after the first week).
• Washing regularly prevents a build up of dirt which can become hard to remove and potentially damage the material.
• Make sure to rinse as much dirt/grit off as possible before using a soft, clean sponge or cloth and a non-abrasive detergent.
• To reduce water marks, always use a silicone squeegee to remove water and dry with a clean microfibre.
⚠️ BE CAREFUL pressure washing
A pressure washer can be used cautiously; ensure the pressure is below 2000psi (14 MPa), the temperature is below 80°C and spray from at least 1 foot (300mm) away at a 90° angle with a 40° wide angle spray pattern nozzle.
🚫 AVOID automated/brush car washes.
You will risk dulling and scratching the material plus the brushes may lift the edges of the graphics which will affect the longevity.
