Seven Tips for Choosing the Right Partner

Having been in the business now for over 50 years, we like to think we know a thing or two about how the print and sign industry works as well as how to get manage the client-business relationship. That's why we thought we'd take the time to offer you few top tips to help you choose the right print and display partner.

  1. Visit the premises: This will enable you to see the business in action and compare facilities with other companies. This also gives you a chance to ask questions in person and talk to staff to get a feel for the business without a false façade to hide behind.
  2. Ask for a free quotation: A definitive figure makes it far easier for you to compare prices. If they can't give you a figure, ask why.
  3. Form a relationship: Meet the person who will be your account manager to see if there is a rapport between you. Do they come across as open and honest with good communication skills? Would you feel comfortable working with them on a long-term basis?
  4. Don't base your decision solely on cost: If a price seems too good to be true, it probably is. Why can they produce products so cheaply? What are they cutting back on?
  5. See examples of their previous work: Bad quality products are a reflection on you and can negatively impact your business. Don't be afraid to ask for examples. If they're happy with their product, they'll be more than happy to show you.
  6. Check the reputation of the company: Testimonials are key to gauging an insight into how the business deals with its clients on a day to day basis. Ask for references and don't hesitate to contact them if you need reassurance.
  7. Be loyal to your new provider: Once you have found a provider that caters to all your needs, be loyal and continue to develop the relationship. A good relationship may enable you to benefit from better service such as a faster turnaround, extended payback period or volume discounts.
